How long have you been at FBC Chappell Hill?

I've been here at FBC Chappell Hill since June 4, 2017. As far as ministers go I'm the elder statesman at this point.

What do you do?

My role has recently changed in the church family here, I've transitioned into the role of Family Pastor. That role is a newer one in the history of church ministry, to some it up as simply as possible I minister to and equip families in our church to be the primary disciple-makers in their homes and communities. Our goal is for parents to be the ones leading the way in raising children who love and follow the Lord, and for the church to come alongside of families as a support and encouragement through this life-long process.

Why do you love this church?

While I could spend most of my day listing things I love about our church, I'll just list two at this time. I love the heart for adoption our church has! So many members have answered the Lord's calling to care for the orphan and it's so beautiful. The second thing I love is the welcoming nature of our members, from day one of my fiance, Victoria and I being here we've felt at home, and a part of this family.

What’s your favorite Bible verse?

I'm going to cheat and say the entire 2nd chapter of Ephesians! Paul's praise towards God in salvation inspires me, and keeps me in constant amazement of how great God truly is. I was dead, and now (because of the work of Christ) I am made alive! How could you not shout and cheer after reading that chapter?!

What do you like to do in your free time?

Victoria and I both love the outdoors! We love to go hiking, our sitting out by a lake somewhere, there's something about being in nature that tunes both of our hearts into worship of God. I also love reading Church history books, looking back at some serious champions of the faith is inspiring.

If you could live anywhere in the world where would you go?

If I could find a way to minister to people but also live secluded in the mountains somewhere in Colorado or Tennessee I would be there tomorrow. As much as I may look like an extrovert in public I am a hardcore introvert on the inside.
