How long have you been at this church?

Jane and I began attending the church in 1998, joining in 1999 while our house was still under construction.

What do you do for a living?

I am semi-retired from the geophysical computing profession, having worked in the area of oil exploration technology (Western Geophysical, Exxon) and in the computer industry (Cray Research).  Most recently I have been providing part-time geophysical consulting for a research project in Computer Science at Prairie View A&M University.

Why do you love this church?

I love this church because people from diverse faith heritages become friends as they join to worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

What is your favorite Bilbe verse?

My favorite scripture is Philippians 4:4-7 which starts with "Rejoice in the Lord always."

Tell me about your family.

I'm the eldest of five siblings, the rest of whom all live in Canada where we were raised, as do Jane's brother and his wife.  Our two sons Alex and Vitaly, adopted from Russia at ages 7 and 6 back in 1997, are now out seeking their way in the world but still in the Houston vicinity.

What's better a Dairy Queen Blizzard or a Sonic Blast?

My soda fountain days featured milkshakes well before Sonic and DQ existed.  When my boys dragged me to those places, I managed to avoid partaking, but now my weekly treat is a Starbucks Java Chip Frappucino.
