Welcome To Women's Ministry

Contact us at women@fbcch.net...

Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

Titus 2:3-5

Do you need help?...

Our women's ministry stands ready to help those in need of food, meals, or other needs.

This is our ministry - helping others and being a light for Jesus so that all may come to know Him.

Not only do we wish to meet physical needs, but emotional support in time of need, as many times only we as sisters in Christ can do for one another.

Please contact any member of the women's ministry council if we can be of service, or call Barbara at (713) 208-1978.

Precept Upon Precept Bible Studies

 Know God Deeply.  Live Differently.

Life-changing intimacy with God is the heart of Precept. Since 1970, we’ve been equipping small group Bible Study Leaders who can help you discover the truth of Scripture for yourself, but not by yourself.

Scripture guides you toward God. Precept guides you through Scripture.

We help lead and direct, but we know that the true changing power—personal relationship with God—comes not from following Precept, but from Scripture itself.

Zechariah - “They shall be my people, and I shall be their God.”

After His resurrection, Jesus walked with two men on the road to Emmaus, explaining to them the things concerning Himself in the Scriptures, beginning with Moses and all the prophets. Do you wonder how long He spent in each of the various prophets?

This study covers an incredible book that contains more prophecies about the first and second comings of Jesus Christ than any of the other Old Testament prophets, except Isaiah.

Ladies'Bible Study Fellowship!

First Baptist Church is pleased to host Bible Study Fellowship (BSF), a non-denominational indepth Bible study for women of all ages!

BSF women's groups offer straight talk and biblical truth built on the foundation of Jesus Christ. As a group member, you will personally study Scripture and answer questions each week. Once a week, you will meet for a small-group discussion of the lesson, hear from a teaching leader how the truths of Scripture can be applied to daily life and receive comprehensive notes on the Scripture passages you studied.

The autumn session began on September 14, 2021 at 6:55 p.m.  Come join us for a study of Matthew entitled 'The Unexpected King'.

About Women's Ministry

A Word From Our Director

Although not all women's events and studies at FBCCH are sponsored or coordinated by the Women's Ministry Committee, our Pastors do rely on the women's ministry team to help coordinate some of the special events for women.  The Women’s Ministry of FBCCH exist to support the Pastor and minstry team at FBCCH by:

  • Encouraging women with a sense of belonging to God and to each other, enabling each of us to become all we are to be in Christ, and equipping us to bless others with the love, grace, and truth of Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 4:11-12)
  • Sharing Christ with those who do not know Him, strengthen Christian women who do, and mentor our young women, bringing together women of all ages and stages to provide encouragement, prayer, and guidance, ever in mind of our great commission to ‘go and make disciples.’ (Matthew 28:19-20)
  • Loving like Jesus!

Ladies Bible Studies

Look for announcements about our Bible studies in 2021!  In September, our church ministry team has a wonderful new opportunity for women to attend Bible Study Fellowship on Tuesday evenings.  We pray, we play, we discuss deep thoughts, and we study.  What more could you ask for?!   You are welcome and loved!

Some of our studies are sponsored by the Women's Ministry, and others are developed and sponsored for women by our church leaders, including Sunday Bible Studies and Bible Study Fellowship for women.  We hope you can join us!

Ladies Night of Prayer

Once each quarter, we gather together as ladies for a sweet night of testimony, fellowship, and prayer.  We have the time of testimony shared by one of our ladies (Is the Lord calling you to share yours? - Let us know!), followed by a time of prayer.  We would love to have you join us for this sweet time with our Lord!  All Christian women are welcome!

Ladies Night Out

During various seasons (twice in summer!), we gather together as ladies for an impactful night of fellowship.  Sometimes we have speakers, sometimes meals, sometimes crafts...    well, the opportunities are endless!  Look for information on the next gathering at the top of this site, or on our calendar.

We want to hear from you!

We want to reach out to all women - all ages, all stages of life - with the amazing love of Jesus Christ.  To do this, we need your help!

Please tell us how we can meet your needs or what sort of events and activities you'd like to see us sponsor.  We are open to ideas and constantly assess what doors God might be opening for ministry.  If you have thoughts or suggestions, we'd love to hear from you.

Simply drop us a note at women@fbcch.net, or contact any of our Women's Ministry Committee.  For the 2020-2021 year, these are your council members (a.k.a. 'servant leaders'!) for the church year September 1, 2020 - August 31, 2021:
