ABOUT US

We are an open book. We want to be as transparent of a church as possible. We are very open with our goals and ambitions through Christ. Feel free to ask us anything.

It is our hope that this page answers three basic questions. We want to make sure that you understand the personality of the church. We love God, love people, and would love for you to join us.

  • Who is involved in working with this church?

  • What does this church affirm?

  • What are people saying about this church?

OUR IDENTITY

Our purposes at First Baptist Church of Chappell Hill are first to glorify God, then to disciple the believers, reach out and witness to the community, and support home and foreign missions.

GLORIFY GOD

The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. We live our lives here at First Baptist Church Chappell Hill with that confession deeply ingrained in our heart, soul, and mind. We desire to make the name of Jesus known to all of the nations, to understand the joy that comes in relationship with God.

DISCIPLE THE BELIEVERS

The final words Jesus left us with in the Gospel of Matthew tell us to "Go and make disciples of all the nations..." We take that commission personally and collectively here. We want to be a church that continues to expand the Kingdom of God both locally and internationally.

REACH OUT

We desire to reach out a minister to the local community around us. Sharing the good news of salvation found in Jesus Christ. We also focus our efforts on supporting missions both domestically and internationally, seeking to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth, beginning in our neighborhoods.
