Mission & Vision
Mission & Vision
Our desire is to leave a lasting impact for the Gospel, our goal is to do that both locally and globally. We would like to share a few of the core principles of our church here below, check them out! If you have any questions feel free to reach out to us. Thanks so much!
Here, We Grow
SHARE WHERE WE ARE
We exist to build healthy relationships in the community in which God has placed each of us. We believe God has placed us where and when we are for a purpose and mission to make His name known. We want to make the name of Jesus known in our families, our community, and our nation.
BE UNITED IN FAITH
We exist to serve others and to be a part of a community of believers. We desperately want to be a united body in Christ. As Paul exhorts us in 1 Corinthians to work in harmony as the human body does, so shall we. We desire to love one another and encourage and build up one another.
GROW CLOSER TO GOD
We exist to serve and grow closer to God. This is our sole purpose here at First Baptist Church Chappell Hill. It is our hope and mission that through our services and ministries, you are given the tools to build a better relationship with Christ and to grow in grace and knowledge.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe in God the Father, creator of heaven and earth and everything in between. We believe in Jesus Christ and that He is God incarnate. God from God, light from light, fully God and fully man. Begotten of the Father and yet not created by the Father. And we believe in the Holy Spirit. We believe in one God in three persons, the blessed Trinity. We believe that salvation comes to mankind by faith alone, through grace alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone. We believe that the Bible is inerrant and that God has divinely inspired the writers of Scripture through the power of His Holy Spirit both in the Old and New Testaments. We believe that Jesus was crucified and suffered under Pontius Pilate as a propitiation for mankind's sins, but that God the Father raised Him from the dead physically. And now Jesus is ascended into heaven sitting at the right hand of the Father, victorious over sin and death. We believe that one day Jesus shall return to judge the living and the dead. Those who have rejected Christ will be righteously sentenced to an eternity of suffering and seperation from God. But, those who have trusted Jesus for salvation will live with him for all of eternity.

OUR HISTORY
1982 - Church began as an in-home Bible Study
In 1984 the "church" humbly began as an in-home Bible study in Chappell Hill. The church quickly grew from the in-home group into having a need for meeting in a larger venue, so we began meeting in a local antique shop in town.
1987 - Church completed its very own building
In 1987, the church was able to build its very own building. The Baptist Men, a group of retired men throughout Texas, came in and built the church building in a miraculous 13 days. The congregation continued to grow and we began a children and youth ministry as well.
2014 - Built a new church to accommodate growth
In 2014, due to the congregation's continued growth, the Lord laid it on the hearts of our church members to build a new worship center to accommodate the growth that was already happening, and the growth we feel the Lord will continue to bring.
